I just received an OD-1 in a trade and I've read good and bad reviews. I really just want to know what the screw is for on the metal side under the clip. It appears to be a tension adjustment screw, but I don't know. The blade will pop open if I shake it, and I've found threads in reference to that solution. But nothing on the above mentioned screw, any help appreciated.

Hey...I've got an od1 and have disassembled many times. Not sure exactly which screw u r referring to though. If you remove the scale there is an adjustable pivot screw and a frame plus a cutout for the flipper

I will have to take a pic and post it. Did anyone do a thread on the take down of an OD 1, I'd be interested to see it. IDK if it makes a difference but it is the ckt and it says pat pending also.

All this and it ends up just being the pivot screw? I feel disappointed. I was hoping it would be some weird extra screw that somehow his OD-1 had but mine didn't.. a prototype or something.

PCL, what did you trade for the OD-1? A knife? Did it not have a pivot screw???? [Not rhetorical, I'm serious here, I'm curious. Not trying to be a passive aggressive jerk.]

I traded a knife for it, I was mainly wanting to tighten the screw which I was pretty sure was under the pocket clip from other pics I have seen but I could'nt find any reference to the other screw. I did'nt want to start taking it apart or fiddle around with it until I had more info. The lock bar stablizer screw was the screw I was mentioning. Like other posts on the OD-1 my blade will come out if just flipped by my wrist. There is also a little blade play, but if I push the frame lock all the way over it locks up solid. So the gist of my OP was to know the parts, how to disasemble and hopefully tighten everything up. And I did'nt want to move or remove that screw without the info. Hope that answers your question and no harm no foul.
