I have one and I've flipped it many thousands of times since last July. It doesn't feel like it has worn out or loosened any since day 1. You're good to go.
I have the OD-2. It has a similar flipper mechanism. I use the knife for whittling, so pretty hard use (not the cutting, but torquing the knife handle around). It seems to do well and I have no complaints so far.
My wife gave me one for Christmas. I've played with it quite a bit and it doesn't show any sign of loosening. I haven't heard many (if any) complaints about Kershaws not holding up.
I've had mine for a couple of years, took it apart to polish the blade (don't really care for the bead blasted look), and remains rock solid and wicked fast.
