Ive got 3 kershaw knives with speed safe, the Leek, Speed Bump and a Centofante. I have noticed that they all have off center blades. I have tried everything I can think of to get them strait, with no luck. Does anyone know how to center these blades? Is there a special way to tighten the screws?

Contact the Kershaw Warranty Department at 800-325-2891. They can tell you what's wrong, or you can send the knives back to them and they will fix problem free of charge.

I must be doing something wrong. They are all pretty much the same kind of knife, and they are all off center in the exact same way.

it's the torsion bar for the speedsafe, I was told this in an email reply from Kershaw. something with 2 bars (Offset?) might not have the problem

Sometimes if you screw the pocket clip on too hard it somehow causes the blade to go off-center, it's happened to me a dozen times. So use some blue or red threadlocker and don't torque them down so hard. If that doesn't work take the knife down, clean it out good, then lightly tighten everything and see what it looks like, adjust all the screws randomly untill you figure out which one was too loose or most likely too tight.

My Random Task had this issue. I could not get the blade centered without loosening the pivot too much or loosening the clip screws. Once I got it centered, if you dropped or banged the knife too hard the blade would shift again. If I tightened either of them to the desired tension the blade would hit the liner. It turns out that the clip screws actually were hitting the washers and the pivot screw had some glue or something in the base if the pivot shaft. Removed the glue and sanded the washers until they were free of marks. I also sanded the 3 clip screws until they were all even and equal in length. I basically only sanded off a thread or so off them and that was enough. It's been dead center ever since and refuses to move if I drop it or forcefully cut something so I'm finally happy with it completely.
