Kershaw Onion Availabity

I saw on S&R's website that the Onion models of Kershaw's knives are not available in Canada. Does anyone know if they are not allowed in Canada perhaps because of the spring assist opening.

I guess Canadian forumites know best, but I remember somebody saying that speed assist knives were illegal in Canada. I know Canandian law is tough on any knife that can be opened easily. One handers cannot be loose enough to be flicked for example.
 
When I went up to Vancouver B.C. I was in a knife shop and they told me they didn't have any Speed-Safe knives, because they were illegal there.
