Well, I just received my Kershaw/Onion Vapor II model 1650 and I must say, I'm impressed. My model is the 3.5 inch model, plain edge, which comes "scary" sharp with a nice bead blast finish, stamped: Kershaw International and is made in Japan. The stainless steel handle is very comfortable to hold and the lockup is solid with no blade play in any direction and the action is very smooth. Not bad for a $30 knife (Knifecenter.com) It has a very slim profile and and is designed for tip down carry. I think it was a great idea to offer 2 sizes of this knife in 3 and 3.5 inch options, so kudos to the folks at Kershaw and of course, the one and only Ken Onion for a great design. For those of you who feel that the Camillus EDC and the Outdoor Edge Paragee is a bit small, you owe it to yourself to check out this framelock folder. I only wish it has the "Speed Safe" feature, but other than that, it is a great buy for the money.

The Vapor's big brother: 4" blade, Speedsafe and flipper.

Definitely NOT a good buy, but still worth it...

Great looking pic! I like the "flipper" feature on Ken Onion's designs. By the way, what ever happened to the Whisper model that Kershaw was to produce?

Not to worry, it's still in the cards. Last update I got was that they have decided to shift production from US to overseas (Japan more likely) as it was too expensive ($350 a pop) It still will be shod with Ken's own lock design, the Vault Lock.

Thanks Dexter, that's good news. I drooled when I saw pictures of it and really look forward to getting one if it comes out.
