Just picked up a kershaw OSO Sweet today. I love the design and the blade however I hate the scales. My question is can I take it apart and put it back together without to much difficulty? I'm not sure how the speed safe system works.

Also is is 8Cr13MoV the Chinese equivalent to AUS-8?

No special problems with the speed safe design. Take it apart while the blade is in the open position so there is no tension on the torsion bar, carefully watch the sequence of the washers.

2 shot said it good! very easy to take apart, and if you have any trouble centering after assembly, do the paper trick. You wedge a piece of paper to keep it to the side you need it on and loosen all the screws and strating from the butt end tighten them up till you get to the pivot. if done right and not over tweaked it should be back to center. If you search it you should be able to find a tutorial.
