I'm trying to deide which knife to get they are both the same price any recomendations? I want a decent outdoor knife, but can't decide between a folder or a fixed blade, that can double as a utility knife.

They are both so different, and designed for such different purposes, that its really hard to make a recomendation between the two.

If you want a big knife that can handle chopping, brush clearing, battoning and other heavy-duty chores, I'd go with the Outcast.

If you want a utility knife while camping for general cutting, preparing meals, etc. get the Recon-1 (not the tanto version, though, as the clip blade or drop point versions of the Recon-1 make better general purpose knives).

Hope that helps?
