I like new Kershaw Outcast kukhri style knife and it has great introductory price. But I would like to know one thing before buying - how thick is the blade? Anyone knows?

I just got mine yesterday, and checked the thickness for you. My micrometer shows it to be .195 thick at the choil, and the top of the spine. It is a full flat grind. So far, it looks sweet. I haven't got to use it yet, but will later today. It is clearly marked "China". For the price I paid, $57 + S&H, I expected it to be USA. I will let you know how I like it, after I give it a little workout.

Dave.

Just curious. Why would you have expected a D2 blade that large that was made in the USA to sell at that price? I agree it might be overpriced for a Chinese knife but I don't know of a single U.S. manufacturer who could do it for that price. Take care.

Lukaszki - I got to give the outcast a workout yesterday. I was clearing some trails of saplings and limbs. It worked out very well. The coating is already wearing off though. Other choppers that I have, the coating is still intact. My Junglee Bolo that I have, and use a lot, shows no wear. The grip seems a little small and thin, but I have extra large hands. So far it is working fine. I am going out again this evening.
Dave.
