My son and I went camping last weekend in Wisconsin. We brought a number of knives. When it came time for firewood we set out with a Ontario RTAK,Valiant survival Golock and my new outcast. This knife really cut the wood for it's size. We hacked on birtch logs for an hour. All preformed well.
Because of the Goloks weight it cut deeper. The RTAK as well. I found the Outcast was the most fun to chop with. I came down on the logs with every thing I had, no hand vibes at all.It was my favorite of the trip.

The Outcast is a great bargain as well, I thought the RTAK was a best buy until it came along. I really like the feel of the handle, very fun to use. I was looking at the Swamp Rat Battle Rat to replace the RTAK I gave away until Kershaw came out with Outcast.

There was a review on knifeforums by another father and son team that put the Outcast through its paces and was similarly impressed.
