I recently bought a Chive, assisted open (are they all?), and am trying to get it adjusted so the safety comes off when I want it to, but not when I don't. It also wouldn't lock up at first, but when I backed the pivot screw off a little, I was happy. Any better suggestions?

I have many AO Kershaws. The first thing I do is tighten down the lock screw to disable it. I have never had one open in my pocket no matter how much I move around at work or play. I also never carry an AO knife loose in my pocket. Some of my friends at work do and have not had one open, but others here have had that happen. As far as the tightness goes it will break in after a few days of use. Loosening the pivot was the right step to take. As it breaks in you may need to tighten it back up a bit. I have Kershaw AO's from their smallest to largest and have always been more than happy with their function, F&F, and customer service.:)
