Hi all. I've been away from this forum for a couple of years as I've been more into guns and guitars. But my passion for blades has been rekindled and I've bought two within the past week alone. Both on Ebay.
First was a Kershaw Rainbow Groove. Been fascinated with the Groove design since I first spotted one about a month ago. That was the plain satin stainless-looking one. Was browsing Ebay for one when I stumbled on the ti-nitride "rainbow" version. Used "Buy It Now" and ended-up with one at my doorstep for about $65 shipped. VERY NICE! I have a decent little collection of blades, but this is BY FAR the most captivating knife I've bought. I love to run my fingers over the grooves on the blade. Will probably end-up cutting myself sometime while absent-mindedly doing that. I love the feel, balance, and the look of this knife. Thinking about buying another to keep nice for my Kershaw "Raindbow Collection" (only lacking a Centofante as of now). And this one I will carry. It makes me feel as though I could actually use this thing for self-defense because it's big enough. Very nice peice. I'm including a link below to an auction from the same seller I bought mine from in case anyone wants to have a look at one. The peice is much more impressive in-person though than it is in the pic. I would like to see something else for the scales though, as I'm not bowled-over by them.

Also bought a Browning/TOPS FDX 684 on Ebay the other day. Haven't received it yet, but I eagerly await. Seems very stout to me. I've been wanting a TOPS knife for years, but refused to pay full price. The Browning versions seem to be a lot more affordable. I'm very curious to see how this measures up to my CS SRK Carbon V for a survival blade. I like the full tang and micarta over the CS.
I'm also contemplating buying a Kershaw D2 Outcast. Anyone have any input on this knife? Seems like it would be a very good "branch hacker" to me.
