Flashpoint what kind of stone is that and that's a crazy clip on there can you elaborate about it?

Do any of yall feel that the ram is a little flimsy? And that when disengaged the blade tends to fall towards your fingers? Sorry I was just wondering because I got a chance to fondle some knives recently and that was one of the things that I noticed about the particular ram I was holding...that and it was much smaller then I expected/would have perfered.

The scales are a stabilized maple burl. The coaster is marble or something. The clip is called a "Grip Clip" and it's made by "Blademaker" A.K.A. Gavin Hawk, who is the original designer of the RAM makes and sells them. They work great.

As far as being flimsy, no. They are a bit small compared to what the average 3.5" blade seems to run, but they are solid little knives. Mine will fall close when I release the lock, but I like that because I usually just flick it open and closed. Easily done once you get used to the feel of the lock. I could tighten the pivot screw down a bit and stop the falling closed if I want to and it would still open fine with the flipper.

Try Google. No need to ask us every time you find a knife if it's a good price or not.
It'll be quicker for you. ;)

Sorry..i ask the room price and for info because u cats are the experts...why go to an inpersonal site like google...when some of the coolest knife people are here...plus the people here give insight to why something is worht the money or not...this place and the people in it rock!!!

If it is to small for you, then check out it's big step-brother the ZT0500! Same lock, only in a larger size, with a bigger pivot to boot.:thumbup::D

Didn't mean to sound like a pr*k.
By all means, ask away. You're right, this place is much better than Google.

Would you rather buy a RAM or the similar sized Onion framelock (scallion, shallot, I forget)? Prices are similar, I think.

I use the prices listed on ebay under completed listings, though they have recently started to limit the amount of time you can go back to only a few days.

The RAM is one the best values in American made knives today , BAR NONE, period.

Buy one , you will not be disappointed.

I have my eye on a junkyard dog all steel frame lock, 25 bucks...sounds like a good deal..but amazon.com actually sells them new for 24 bucks...so if i really want it i can get it any time....i start collect Kershaw's groove knife..love it awesom knife

The only thing with these mechanical locks is like the saying "the more intricate something is the easier it is to break.."..frame lock are still me favorites
