Is it normal for the RAM to have a small amount of blade play? When my knife is open I can push on the back of the spine and notice that the blade moves maybe a 32 of inch. Is this normal due to the ram lock? Thanks , Travis

I have one and it has no blade play at all and locks very solid. Its my weekend carry and I love the knife. Its probably have more fun flipping it than most of my others and considering its a manual folder its faster on deployment than most assisted that I've carried.

I've only ever played with my one example, but it has no perceptible blade play whatsoever. Have you taken the G10 off to see if there's something trapped in there, or something?

I've got 3 and there is no play in any of them. Try tightening the pivot screw ever so slightly.

I have blown it out with compressed air, but it still does it. If I hold the lock slide and try to move it it doesn't move. Is this a quality issue that I should contact Kershaw about? Or do I need to just quit being picky and live with it? I love this knife other than that one feature. The play is not side to side but vertical( trying to push blade closed and you can see it and hear it.)

Take the G-10 overlay off the side with the lock button and make sure the lock mechanism is clean. Pocket lint can work its way down there and affect lockup.

The Hawk Lock is really solid, there should be no blade play.
Try the suggestions already posted, if that doesn't resolve the issue or you are uncomfortable taking it apart contact Kershaw CS.
If the knife has a legitimate issue, you shouldn't have to live with it, that is what the warranty is for.
