I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I recently bought the RJ1 and wanted to take it apart to clean. Not too surprisingly, one of the screw heads completely stripped and its too far countersunk into the G10 to get it out (for me, at least). I already tried emailing to see if I got a real person, bit with no prevail. Should I just send the thing in with the money to repair it? It was only a 20 dollar knife, so it doesnt even seem worth the hassle. I dont really want to buy another and then find out it has the same issues (also a pocket clip screw stripped).

Any advice is helpful!

I find it almost always easier to call and talk to somoene than to send an electronic telegram. They are very nice people and don't even bite!
Below is a link to the sticky at the head of this forum. It should answer any and all questions you should have should you decide not to telephone them. And no it doesn't cost any money to send it in and have it fixed not sure where you got that from. Only the cost to send it to them.
