I'm looking a possibly getting a small knife for my GF, and the Sapphire seems like a cool knife but I cant find much info about it since it seems to be discontinued. Perhaps some of you guys could give me some info about it.

Does it have the AO speed assist of which Kershaw is famed for? Also does it have a clip and AUS8 steel? Is it a liner or frame lock?

Pics, comments, opinions and reviews would be most appreciated!

It's pretty cool, though it was discontinued a few years ago. The blue handles are quite attractive

thanks, i need to be getting me a paid membership here so i can search. Looks like a pretty sweet knife but I know she loved my AO Buck Tempest so maybe I'll have to get a rainbow leek or something.

Spark, are the memberships based on 1 year from when you bought it, or a calendar year?

It's a nice knife for what it is.
AUS8 blade, made in Japan, not AO.

A slim and light carry.

The sapphire is a great knife. Its a titanium handle with a liner lock. Its has a smooth action and is lightweight. The sapphire is a great to carry at the office.

I bought my wife 2 Sapphires. One for now and one just in case. They are incredibly well made. The F&F are perfect and they are super smooth. The main thing my wife likes is that they are very slim and super light. I think you should definitely get her one. Some folks will knock AUS8 but it does the jobs she needs done (trimming her cuticles, cutting string, opening mail, simple knocking around the house stuff). If you keep it sharp you will have no worries.

have always been attracted to the looks and the price. never come across one. Would love to try one out

I'll echo the positive comments - it's a well put together small folder.

I was particularly impressed with the quality of the machining on the Ti scales - very crisp and clean.
