Kershaw Serrations?

I just touch 'em up on the Sharpmaker. It's not necessary to get way down into the grooves, they don't really get that dull.

I've only sharpened serrations on a few times. Haven't really had much need to.
On the Kershaw and Spyderco serrations I've done, I use a round diamond sharpener.
I've got a Rough Rider and the other is a Smith's I believe.
It never takes more than a few strokes and I'm finished. (that sounds wrong) :o

Many places offer them, a lot of times in the fishing department.

Thanks, guys. I have one of the Smith's rods from Wal-mart. I was just curious because they are shaped different from normal serrations. Just bought a barrage from Wal-mart today and the serrations cut fantastically.

Just to add to my recommendation, the Rough Rider sharpener I have (I'm pretty sure it's under other names too) comes to a very fine point for even the smallest serrations.

I believe you should be able to sharpen Kerhaw's convex serrations from the back side by laying the blade almost flat against the stone. I only have one PS Kershaw and I haven't used it in a bit, but I believe that's right.

I think I bought the same knife a few months ago. I agree that the serrations cut great. I recently posted a review I did of several knives whittling/cutting ability and the Kershaw Barrage was one of the best performers. The link for my review is here:

I've only touched up the edge once or twice and I used the Sharpmaker. Just follow the directions that come with the dvd.
