Kershaw Shallot: Opinions Wanted

It was my second choice to the Blur. But I got the blur, in S30V. I actually have never heard anything about 13C26 steel.

Mine is excellent. Cuts everything I want to cut. Compact, slim, easy to carry.

Needs a titanium frame, to make it lighter.

Needs a high end steel, to make it...better.

While Sandivc isn't S30V it is a pretty good all round steel. It's definately much better than what Kershaw used to use.

I think of my Shallot as a 'super Leek' which a few of us have been asking for, but Ken didn't want to produce. I like the way it fits my hand better than the leek too. Don't get me wrong, tho. I love all 4 of my Leeks.

I'm also going to replace my Blackout w/ one that has the new steel.

Get the Shallot, you'll like it.

I'm interested in one too as my only Kershaw so far is the Chive (this is well made and ingenious)

Wish I could find a US dealer who will sell me one to the EU and not charge 50 dollars for this small knife in shipping charges!!! No restrictions on owning this knife where I live either.

I bought one and after a quick polish, it's so sharp I can just wave it at a piece of paper and the paper just sits there and looks at it and lights itself on fire.

I played with one at my local B&M and absolutly loved it. The bead blast finish was the only thing keeping me from taking it home. If you don't have acid hands like I do, I'd say pick one up.
