want to get another kershaw a bit larger than my leek, looking at the shallot or blur

I don't have either one. Damnit..................Why don't I have either one????????????????????

Tons of Leeks though. Can't have enough Leeks.

Right now I'd take the blur as there are more variants available. If you like slicers, try the SG2, All around excellence, 13C, or S30V. The Shallot has tremendous performance with it's 13C steel of course, but it has tremendous potential for "sprint", or "Boutique" runs with more exotic selections of steels. They're coming.

The correct response is really, get both. SG2 or S30 Blur, and a 13C26 Shallot. Sorry for the indescision, but Kershaws do that too me. I get to wanting them all. Joe

It depends on what your cutting tasks are daily, but I'd have to concur with Mastiff on the SG2 Blur for it's slicing ability. It finds it's way into my pocket more than my Shallot, but both are good. What do you need it for most often?

If you can, go somewhere you can hold both knives.
Pick the one that feels best. Both are great knives IMHO.

I've got a Shallot, but don't have a blur. I really like it. It's probably my favorite folder. Then again, I only have a few folders... most of my knives are fixed blades.

Definately handle them if you can. With that said, get both. You will love either one!

I have a PE Shallot and a S30 and SG2 Blur. The Shallot is beautiful with sexy lines. That said the Blurs fell more comfortable in my middle-sized hands and I can cut longer with less fatigue.
