Kershaw Shallot vs Kershaw Knockout

I don't have any real experience with any of those two blades, but from what I gather the Knockout is superb and you won't go wrong with purchasing one. This isn't saying that the Shallot is a bad knife, but the Knockout is that great of a knife.

Both are amazing knives... I have both and would Choose the Knockout. Its a great all around knife.

The Shallot was great, but it's too thin for a knife of its length. I just keep my CB Shallot around because it's served me well. The Knockout would be my choice between the two.

My vote is for the Shallot. I have one in ZDP and S110V, and it's a fantastic knife. It's a perfect folder when you want to go lghtweight.

If the shallot had different scales, I would definitely be carrying it more. I have a DLC shallot that is more manageable than the ZDP, since the DLC is a noticeably thicker knife especially when trying to disengage the lock. Maybe I can get someone to make G10 scales for it.

I didn't notice that for a while after the fact too. The ZDP version is a thin little slicing machine isn't it? I need to pick up a DLC Shallot soon. A grippy scale or texture would be nice. :D

yea, the DLC Shallot is already thin, even thinner than the Knockout. The ZDP Shallot is even thinner!

I think i would love the Shallot more if it was "taller" too, not quite as tall as the Knockout, but maybe Barrage/Salvo blade width.
