Kershaw sharpening/ recoating

I understand that kershaw resharpens knives that you have purchased from them, if you send the knife in. My friend had a Leek coated in DLC, and while the coating has held up to the point where its almost unscathed entirely. He was curious if he could send it in to be re-coated, and if so, how much that would be. He shot them an email, but alas no reply. Thanks for the words all.

The unfortunate thing about sending emails to large companies (like Kershaw), is that they're already probably getting a LOT of other emails too. Sometimes it takes a while to get a response, if you get one at all. You'd be better off calling them instead, so you know you're actually reaching a live person. I've grown to really hate waiting for email replies to my queries, and when I get impatient enough, I pick up the phone and don't stop dialing/redialing until I get through.
