Kershaw Shun Elite?.

Hi was wondering if Kershaw still makes the Shun Elite series of kitchen knives with the SG2 steel or has this been discontinued.

You can download the Shun 2012 catalog here http://www.kershawknives.com/products.php?brand=shun. Elite's are in the past.

The Elite line is gone, but if you want SG2, check out the new Shun Reserve line.

The hammered Premier line are pretty sweet. The Premier line basically replaced the Elites. I have a few of these, and they're pretty dang nice. VG10 cores. You just missed out (ended 1/31) on a couple of really good $99 deals they had on those. But as neuron says, if you still want SG2, the Reserve line does use that steel (but they're pretty pricey; about double the price of the already expensive Premier).

Knivesand guns,what is the Fuji.Is it a model in the new Shun Reserve line.

I believe the Fuji might be a Williams-Sonoma exclusive, but I don't know for certain. It's in a class of its own, won the overall kitchen knife of the year award at BLADE last year.
