Picked up a Skinner 10800R at a gunshow today, nice orange handles but what I really would like are some nice wood grips. Does anyone make wood grips for this model of knife.

Sorry I can't do pics.

I don't know of anybody that does grips for it, but I have two of the knives and they look like they would be pretty easy to do.

Thanks, My Son-in-law does a lot of wood working, maybe he and I can come up with something.

Have you tried removing the scales? I couldn't get mine off, but I didn't really try to force it.

Yes I did and they won't remove. I need a second torx screw driver which I don't have right now. One screw did remove and both sides of the other just turned.
I am sure they will remove.

I could only get the screws out from one side and the scales seemed to be glued on, or maybe just an excess of thread locking compound.

RevDevil, How do I post a question on the above forum, there is no post new thread box?

I managed to get the grip screws off,it took two torx screw drivers. Now they are oiled and will come off easy.
What does RMEF stand for under the deer head?
