I sure like my Kershaw Damascus Skyline. I wish they offered it either assisted or auto. Anyone else?

I don't have the Damascus one, but yea I do too. Mine requires a serious wrist-flick in order to open and for that reason I don't really carry it often. It's nice to know I'm not the only one.

One of my favorite Kershaws. The flipper takes a bit of loading, but it works just fine for me. I don;t think assisting or making it an auto would give it much more benefit. Kershaw offers a ton of assisted knives, this one is fine as is, for me.

I agree, it would be nice if they came out with an assisted version, call it Skyline Tornado.

Have you ever had a Leek or Shallot (the Leek's big brother}? I prefer the Shallot but both are great relatives of the Skyline.

How is the Damascus blade holding up? Does it cut well and hold an edge? I have never used one.

I liked my Skyline before I gave it away, though it would have been 100x's better with a useful thumb stud, and no flipper. Also, the clip sucks, hahaha.

I bought a Leek and a Shallot for my boys. I have a Leek I keep in a drawer at work. I can tell the Damascus isn't good with moisture. But it has held up well and the edge is fine. I'm not a super heavy user of my knives. I like how thin and light the Skyline is.

I don't really like assisted knives and I can't picture an auto or assist mechanism fitting inside the thin profile of the Skyline...BUT, some caged bearing washers would be SWEET! When BladeHQ came out with their "premium Skyline" with CF and S30V I kept thinking they missed the boat by not upgrading the washers. :(

The Skyline series does take some practice, but you don't need to flick your wrist if you push on it hard before pulling down to flip it. I love this series. I have all of them.
