Kershaw Skyline blade change?

I recently purchased a brown limited edition skyline. I attempted to swap the blade with one of my black skylines to achieve a black/black skyline. Although I could never get the blade to actually engage the lock. Does anyone know if the limited edition has a different size blade?
 
It's probably more a matter of fitting - You should always swap the locking liner whenever you try to do a home grown blade swap. Most of the time it will work, sometimes it still won't but I would swap out that liner from the same donor knife to the recipient knife and see how it works. You might be happy with the result.

I was able to swap blades on a brown, and orange skyline, but going to the standard 1760 didn't lock up. I'm thinking they changed something in the new models.
 
I did the same thing, and my 1760BR Frankensk'line (brown G10/BB blade) has minimal lock-up (but it does lock up). Swapping the liner with the blade sounds like a pretty logical thing to try, wish I would have thought of it!
 
yeah, you should be swapping the g10 scales, not the blade. everything but the scales should stay with the rest of the knife
