I picked up a Skyline fixed and folder around the Black Friday sales online. I decided to practice some Kydex sheath making on the Skyline fixed.

I also made this project my first YouTube video. Here, I'll be posting up about my beginning knife making. I already have 11 fixed blades back from heat treat ready to be finished up for some fellow Marine Infantryman, so standby for those videos real soon.

They look great! Do you have any attaching devices mounted? Or, you could make the sheath a smidge wider and use more open rivets to use 550 cord.

No matter what, you still did good!

Thanks for that. The rivets are actually set up to be used with a Large Tek-Lok attachment. I used 1/4" rivets, so 550 can go through them easily. I also thought about doing a 'pancake' style sheath just to get the practice, which would also allow for more 550 mounting options. I just might do that! Thanks for the suggestion.

I know when I was wearing my IBAS, it sucked having anything that couldn't be attached. I couldn't stand having anything in my pockets because of the way that it would hit getting in and out of vehicles. Plus, I am a big fan of different mounting options.

Dang those look really sweet. I would love to have a nice kydex sheath instead of the leather ones I got with my two I got on black friday!
