Kershaw Skyline..Need a different clip

Hi,,

been looking to pick up a skyline. the only thing stopping me is that terrible clip. i want to carry tip up without what looks like almost a full inch out of my pocket. please help and recommend a mod or alternative clip!
 
As ericzhao517 pointed out, the ZT 0560 clip (or 0550 2nd gen clip) will fit without any mods. The second screw just crimps down on the edge of the clip to keep it from rotating. It's reasonably stable, but if you can still twist the clip if you apply enough force (the second screw is just pinching the edge of the clip rather than actually being threaded through it after all).

Some people bend their own from 18ga high tensile wire... I'm no fan of the stock clip either. It's one place that the less expensive Kershaws really seem to fail on a function/design standpoint.
 
I'm pretty sure that's the same clip I just ordered from ebay, from a guy named blue4you2010 (hopefully this is Gnoleb, not a guy copying him). Claims to be titanium, and is offered with a brushed finish or in a couple of anodized colors. He has a few other clips, one of which is a deep carry southard clip (which I also ordered). I got the brushed finish, cuz I'm gonna try flaming them myself. They don't have the curves or finished appearance that STR's do, but they are significantly cheaper. I'll post a review after I get them.
 
thanks guys! it isnt impossible after all. i will look mostly into acquiring a zt clip from kershaw, if theyll give me one. much appreciated
