Kershaw "Snap-ON"

Hi blackjackdan08 -

That means the knife has some sort of Snap-on logos on it - Snap-on is a high end tool manufacturer.

best regards -

Great gift for a mechanic!

How do think the Blur is as a EDC knife?

It has a nice blade shape and size. Fits well in the pocket and feels
better in hand. It grips really well. It's not gonna slip on ya even with
wet hands. The AO kicks the blade out like a mule and the lock-up on
the two I have is great. If you can find one at a B&M, go handle one
for yourself.

I like mine. :D

If for some reason the A/O fails, does the knife become a effective liner lock, or does the failed a/o affect the knive's overall use?

if it fails kershaw will send out a replacement part. i believe you can take out the AO and have a fully functional manual knife.

Gundude is right.

If the AO (torsion bar) ever fails, it will still lock up. You could adjust
the pivot tention to hold the blade in the closed position until Kershaw
sends you a new one out or you could just use there lifetime warranty
and send it in to be fixed, free. I've only had one torsion bar break in
10-11 years and there easy to replace yourself. You just need a # 6
and # 8 torx wrench to do it. Hope this helps.

Its weird i have a bunch of A/O knives but i like manuel knives the best, to me the more complicated a device is, the easier it is to break it...lol

You might consider opening one to see how it works. Once you do, you'll see it's not complicated at all. Just don't open it with the spring under tension.
