Kershaw Speed Bump (Regular, not G10): How do you like it for those who have one?

I have been debating for a while now on whether or not to get one of these. I like the a/o I have from Kershaw now.
Is the lock hard to disengage?
What is the recurve actually for -- besides unique looks?

Any thoughts? If you bought one in the past year, would you do it again?

Thanks much for any input on this.

Can only say recurves are great, work somewhat like a small hawkbill. Some people don't like to sharpen them though and you can angle a straight edge to cut similar.

The blade design is great. Aggressive look to it. The recurve works awesome for slicing through things, and the flat egde is good for cutting or cleaning on flat surfaces. The sharp point is good for detail cutting also. As for the lock, my 1596 spec bump has a safety lock, but I never use it. Unless you are talking about the stud lock? The stud lock is easy to use and is better than liner lock for one handed use, imo. All of the bump models have been discontinued and will be getting harder to find.

Oh ya, the clip sucks and there is only one carry position.

I have one. I carry it daily.

Very good knife. The recurve is great for cutting rope, or any other really touch cutting.

It also have a nice profile for a defensive folder

I have the G10 but I can address some questions. I love the knife, but rarely ever carry it. It is big, and the clip sucks, I took it off and bent it up a bit. I got this knife the day I closed on my house and after closing went to my house and ripped up some old orange shag carpet, and it did great with this because of the design of the blade. It pierces and then does pull cuts well (great for cutting rope and carpet). I dulled it fairly quickly as I expected, and then had a hard time sharpening it on my guided rod sharpener. So I sent it to Kershaw for re-sharpening, and do not use it except when I walk my dog as I see it as my best knife to protect her if I needed to. I love the thumb-stud lock and find it easy to operate. It is a fun one to play with and pretty cool looking. I do not personally see it as a good edc though.
