Kershaw speed bump?

The Speed Bump is a good entry level Kershaw. Beware that you will probably want a higher end Spec Bump, and then an Offset after you get it though.

I just want a nice assisted that will last me a while, im not into the whole knife scene, but I live in colorado and we go camping sometimes. Im not looking into collecting or spending 200$, I really only came here to see which a/o's were the best for around 80$ or cheaper.

I think a good fool-proof camp knife would be the Partially Serrated Junkyard Dog 2. Easy to clean, the G-10 is great even when wet, the serrations would help with rope and stuff, and you can get one for $55! Even though it's not an "Assisted Opener", it flips open VERY fast, and one handed.

I really like assisted. But when I get one thats serated, it seems to limit the straight blade, like when you split it up it makes it alot worse, just because they are so small. I'm looking into the kershaw speed bump, im not gettin the spec bump because I dont want to spend so much $$.

And today I went to go check out some knifes and the *** sales kid wouldn't sell to me, even though he had just sold a buck knife to some 13 year old kid!!!

I really like the Speed Bump.
Great fit and finish, super sharp, cool opening and locking systems.

(I like the knife so much that I feel no need to upgrade to a Spec Bump. :))

Ive been thinking about the shape of the blade, I dont really like it. I may go with the crkt tiny tighe breaker

Then get the plain edge JYD2. It is still a great knife and one of the best values around for an American Made knife with those materials.

Make sure you compare the specs on the tighe breaker with the Speed Bump or whatever else you choose. I am not that fond of the steel that CRKT uses. And the crkt tighe breaker is made overseas isn't it? Good luck no matter which you choose. Enjoy the camping! I have a great Mountain Hardwear tent that I only use about once a year :(

^^ yea whoops, theres 3 different tighe's, the mini tighe, the my tighe, and the my tighe breaker, so its easy to get confused. I dont really like the shape and width of the needs work, but ill check it out more.

You can get the mini cyclone from an Ebay seller named yourknifeconnection for $39.99 plus $4.75 shipping.....great price and dealer.......This is a good knife and has the on-off AO action switch. Look in the exchange section on this forum and check out thekershaw guy as he has blurs for $38 shipped.....both are great deals and I have bought from both of these sellers.....

^^^ dam that thing is nice. I found one with a black handle and black blade at knifeoutlet.com Man now im in another pickle....

Mini Cyclone is a real nice knife also...
The blade on the Speed Bump is about a half inch longer though.

You can actually get a full size Cyclone for not much more than the price of a Speed Bump, if you look around.
