I like the Spec due to the G10 scales and the overall look (mall ninja!).

However, I am a bit deterred by the reports of SV30 shipping...would the standad Speed Bump be the better choice in Sandvik 13C26...I dont know alot about steels, but Im working on it.

And why is the Offset so expensive! :(

go with Spec, there are no problems with shipping s30v. it ships like any other steel. Mine came in the mail with no problems.

You may try to search for SpecSpeed Bump - it was limited run of 13C26 with G10 scales.

CPM S30V is entry level powder hihg vanadium steel - I guess it is more wear resistant but Sandvic offers more delicate edge on my opinion. There is no too much trouble with chipping S30V on my experience. Until you have some edge cases, I guess will not bee too much difference for casual use.

Thanks, Vassili.

I definitely agree, if you can find a Spec/Speed Bump it would be a great alternative.

Here's a pic of mine, I posted this in another thread....

The speed/spec bump is the best of the sub Blue/Green Bumps, in my opinion. S30V takes a hard wrap though...I've got a lot of knives in it and they work really well, for the most part. 13C26 is fine also. I'd say get a Blue Bump if you can afford it.

I meant to say chipping...

Good call on the G10 Sandvik...hadnt seen that one, looks like the winner!
