My speedbump came today & I just don't like it :thumbdn: .
The handles feel cheap & the blade is a little on the thin side.
I'm a lefty & this knife is not for me, clip is not reversable .
I also didn't like the speed assist open,it is not that fast or smooth, my crkt desert cruiser opens just as fast & a lot smoother !
I think I will put it up for trade !:D

There are other handle materials in the speed bump as I assume you bought the plastic model, and they "feel" better. The knife is excellant, but the items you are referring to are all matters of taste, so perhaps you should have handled one before buying it.....

Yeah your right. I wish I would of had :(
I guess I'll put it on the trade section & see what it brings

Speed Bump having a too thin of a blade? What for? I thought just the opposite myself.

Why would he talk to Thomas? There's nothing wrong with the knife. He just does not like the feel of it. This is a personal preference thing. No one knife feels right to everyone.

it was a suggestion. nothing more. the only reason i brought it up is because he said the AO was slow.

Thats the only problem with buyign knives online...you can't hold them and check them out before you buy them...

I love all of my Bumps, though I never got the Speed Bump since I didn't want that handle material. I do have the "speed-spec-bump", made out of G10 handle and Sanvik blade (awesome).

Guys I fixed the speedbump, (my mistake) the little screw (on-off) was set to on so I removed the screw & switched it to off & now I works perfect !!!!:D Now if it just had better handles but oh well, I'll keep it & live with it.;)

Anyone happen to know where to get the Sandvik / G10 bumps?

Sorry Vivi, that was a limited edition (500 piece I think) run. If you can find one, it'll be from a private owner. I have one and like it, but I would suggest the additional investment to get the Spec with the S30V. Nothing wrong with Sandvick 13C26, but S30V is SO much better.

Yeah, that on/off switch is the one thing I didn't like on mine. I just tightened it down in the off position and forgot about it. Problem solved.

So far I have liked my Kershaw knives, but I have not bought a Speedbump.
One question I had, was how do you sharpen something with that wavy a blade shape?

Stick sharpeners like a Spyderco Sharpmaker work pretty good on curves. I reprofiled 3 of my Bumps on one.
