Kershaw speedsafe variance

I was wondering if anyone had some insight in to why there is a variance of how fast/strong the speed safe action is on Kershaw knives. I’ve noticed before that on multiple units of the same knife they will all open with a slightly different amount of force. I was thinking it may be due to the different amount of grease packed on to the torsion bar of each knife. My fastest Kershaw knives tended to be the ones that rattled when the blade was open, indicating that the grease had worn off a little bit. I was wondering if there was a way to loosen a torsion bar from the grease without disassembling the knife. Perhaps by running the knife under hot water? I have a Kershaw chive I just got that doesn’t fire as fast as I would like.
Thank you
