I'm a big MMA fan. Tonight Kenny Florian fought Roger Huerta on the UFC pay-per-view card.

Florian had a big "Kershaw" logo on the front of his shorts. Very cool IMO.

I think I'll go pick up another Scallion or a Leek . . .

I guess that's a good a reason as any to pick up another Kershaw. I've never owned an AO knife yet and I think I want one. Already have benchmade/spyderco/sebenza/cold steel so I think Kershaw deserves a try. Is the Leek a good first Kershaw to get?

sure is. its one of Kershaw's best sellers. Make sure that you check the Born-on date. If it says Aug07 or later, it is the 13c26 steel, which is definatly what you want. Unless of course you get the Composite blade Leek which is CPM D2, or the S30V Leek or the uber rare Ti/ZDP-189 version :D

I've not owned a Leek, but my Scallion is a great little knife. It came razor sharp out of the box and sharpens up easily on my Sharpmaker.

I know many guys who love the Leek.

Kenny looked real controlled tonight. It was a good feeling being in his corner.

I used to like UFC in the bad old days when there were, essentially, no rules. The more structure they put into these bouts, the less interesting I find them.

Well Thomas, now I have to ask the logical followup questions.

Did you guys offer Kenny a Kershaw to carry? If so, which one?

I saw that, thought it was pretty cool. Kenny is a tough fighter, he doesnt really look like it to me, but he is.

I was going to start a thread about this. Great to see Kershaw sponsoring world class MMA fighters.

We got a nice care package together with a variety of Kershaw's for them. I'll see if I can find out what his favorite is.

Florian has always surprised me, and often been cast in the under dog role. It's nice to see him getting his respect now. He's earned it, that's for sure. Wasn't he in the first series ? Joe
