Sponsorship agreements are nothing new to professional sports,it's not easy for knife companies to get there name out there for the fans to see.Kershaw has been sponsoring riders in the PBR for a while now.I found this picture online today, the PBR World Finals are this week in Las Vegas, this is a shot of Guilherme Marchi getting ready for a ride.Guilherme was the world champ in 2008 but this year there are 3 riders that are in contention.Kershaw should get some airtime this week, cudos to Kershaw.

There is a Storm model that was made for him too. Rodeo Storm. 1470GMST
They are also sponsoring another rider at the finals in Vegas, Valdiron de Oliveira.

Marchi is a top notch rider. Mauney, Lostroh and Marchi have been battling back and forth quite a bit this year.
To say the least it has been entertaining.

They also do some MMA sponsorship

I would think NASCAR would be a natural fit for knife sponsorship.

That would be sweet.

(this post is generally about sponsorship so I think this fits)

Nascar is pretty expensive. Last time we (place I work for) looked at it in the mid-90's it was about $3000 for a front right fender (crowd advertisement) and $6000 for a left front fender (TV view).
And that is the little rectangles you see. ;)

Per race. :(
30+ races.

I imagine that has increased since then and depending on which driver it would be even higher than that.
Today, hood/Qtr panel placement would be in the $10M-$25M range.

You just pay for what space you want. :D

Expense is a big problem with sponsoring any of the major sports, bullriders are a perfect fit,I've seen Kershaws name on a few of the riders backs over the years.I never paid much attention to MMA but I would think motocross would be another good sport to sponsor.

I was trying for years to get sponsored for racing go-peds and still looking for a sponsor for the sideshow. (least for the knife throwing part of it)
