Haven't posted a lot here at the Kershaw forum for the past two months. Have had some issues that had to be dealt with concerning a year old divorce. One thing this caused was me getting rid of most of my knives to get the funds I needed to pay my lawyer. At this point in time I think that things have been totally resolved and that this divorce will not rear it's ugly head again!:thumbup::D

So my goal now is to begin replacing those knives that had to be sold. I was able to keep three from the sale block, but two of them ended up being pawned, both of my Strider AR's. There was good in that though as I was able to pawn them to a good friend who advanced me money but did not charge me any interest! The other knife I was able to keep I kept simply because I could get nothing for it and I'm glad that I couldn't as this at least left a knife in my pocket, and it was a Boker Wharcom.

So, where to begin? For this month the choices were made for me. Back on the 20th of August I got a call from Chris Reeve Knives. Seems I put my name on a list a couple or so years back for the new folder CRK was going to build. I had forgotten all about it up to that point. So the new Umnumzaan was my first "back on my feet" purchase. Not long after this I received an email from NGK wanting to know if I still wanted the new folder from Fallkniven, the PXL w/white micarta. As it turned out, I did!

I am now in possession of both and am tickled to have them. Both of these lived up to my expectations, and then some. Though these are more of a medium sized knife, I still find both are built stout, especially the PXL:D, and both have that kind of fit/finish I have grown accustomed to from my Kershaws/ZT's.

Though neither is a Kershaw knife I still wanted to post here as I feel a very strong bond to you folks on this forum and I figured you would understand the "off-brand" purchases!! I can assure you that next month will see a new ZT0200 and a ZT0500 for me to brag about!:thumbup::D

Glad your divorce issues are clearing up. Bad thing, those are!

You certainly have started a nice collection again, and looking at the ZT's is never a bad idea. I'd suggest, tho, that you take a good long look at Kershaw's Composite Blade offerings too. There's a CB Shallot about to be released.

Welcome back, and stick around!

Yeah, for the price of a ZT you have a whole slew of knives you could pick up to give your new collection some volume...

Cutter,
Glad to hear that it's all cleared up:thumbup: Thank God my divorce was fifteen years ago, just shy of when I started collecting Kershaws:D, so even though I lost just about everything else, no knives were harmed in the process!!;)

My current, and last wife who I've been with for about 12 years ( God, do I love her) has embraced my blade addiction and is the best. I wish that upon you too, my friend!!.

Good to have you back,

Jonny

Good to hear that you came out the other side, Cutter. The same thing happened to me 20 years ago. I made it out with a suitcase of clothes and my frying pan. It seems that she had a better lawyer.

I too have collected other knives, but the fine group of fellows here, accepted me back in a warm manner. One of the nice things about rediscovering Kershaw, is the excitement of getting new models of knives and finding that they wildly exceed your expectations. It's all good, my friend. Enjoy your new world of collecting!

Hey guy's, thanks for all the positive support! I really do like the CRK Umnumzaan, and the Fallkniven PXL, and both are definately top notch folders. But I do look forward to those ZT boxes arriving and I am really excited about the new Hawk auto and can't wait for it to become available!:D

:eek::eek: did not know this! I will have to go insearch of a seller to get one from. Any suggestions, or is that not an appropriate question to ask. If not maybe someone could email me a source for one of these. Thanks for the info Thomas!!:D:D

As a lawyer who handles a lot of divorces, I would have been more than happy to take some Kershaws for my fee. I would have even given full retail credit on the knives. Glad your case is over, and your money can now go to putting your inventory back together instead of paying us guys.
