Kershaw Storm II

I have a Kershaw Storm II #1475ST that's brand new, never used. It does not have the box but it does have the nylon belt sheath. There is a small etched marking which i assume is the manufacturing date? It says, SEP 04 on the blade near the pivot. The black non slip surface is like black heavy duty sandpaper, NOT rubber.
I had someone say this is a fairly rare knife but i have no information on it? Can anyone tell me something about it? What blade steel was used on it and any ideas what the current value is?

The Storm II was made with Sandvik 13C26 steel blade and 420 stainless body.

It's a Ken Onion design. That non slip surface is called Trac-Tec, it's kinda like skateboard grip tape.
