I got really interested and actually reconsidered the design when I started watching the video, but then you had to go and tell me that it won't be in G10....
 
Same here!!! I saw that G10 and thought "THANK GOD THEY GOT RID OF THE K-TEXTURE". Now I have to go drive into a bridge abutment. Kidding aside, I am still excited for it. I will probably have to find new scales for it though.

I didn't know you were a fellow southpaw. Good review, I can believe I watched it all (wound up being longer than I had expected), but I now know I am definitely getting a Strobe. I was excited when it was originally going to be an assisted folder, but now I am ecstatic about it being a KVT folder!
 
Thanks for the kind words. As a lefty, it's interesting adjusting to most things that aren't. However a clip on a pocket knife can really make a difference in one's experience with a piece.

I happen to like the K Texture, and prefer it to the regular FRN that's used on budget knives. The Shuffle's handle is fine.

And yeah, I imagine aftermarket scales will be readily available, and quite cheap.

Haha good point! I laugh at the things my phone recognizes after a few months of use. You can definitely tell a Mexican is using it :p

Back on topic, the Strobe looks great and I'll definitely pick one up when they're released! KVT is slick!

I hope so, if it isn't slick then it is doing its only job all kinds of wrong!

I also have to deal with autocorrect idiocy. Some of the keyboards I use will allow words like gkoverment to pass as a real word. Couple that with an inaccurate touchscreen and you might get why I went though a period where I was making atrocious spelling errors. Now I have to deal with my phone constantly taking he instead of be.

I could see that happening. What kept the Knockout so light was the fact that the handles were completely aluminum, minus the steel sub-framelock. The Strobe has 2 slabs of stainless steel. That will definitely add some weight to it.

I am glad to see that they decided to bring this knife out.

I like this one better than the the original version too.
