Anyone here use/remember/heard of the Kershaw Model 1005, Survival Knife?

I have had one for years, then like a fool sold mine, but recently found another NIB. I love this knife, and my orginal one held up great, no issues. But I trying to find out more information on the blade itself, the construction. Even thou it is a hollow handled knife, I never had issues with it getting loose, no wiggle, nadda. Always felt solid, and I am wondering if it is a one piece design like Chris Reeve's knife.

Anyways, just wondered if anyone knew about this blade.

Cheers!

Currently a 1005 is my oldest knife thanks to me loosing my original knives when we moved from east TN to middle TN back in 85. My Brother-inlaw gave it to me for Christimas in 87 after buying one for each of us from his local Snapp On dealer. It has served me well but after looking at it yesterday I noticed the bead blast is getting rust spots so I may sand it down this winter. I just took a crap load of nothing fancy pictures yesterday of nearly all my knives. I'll try to upload some before the end of the week. I hate the thought of missing out on this great knife, and thanks to my scout leader Brother-inlaw I don't have too!

Here's my survival camp sweet heart.
