I've been away from Bladeforums for the past month due to work. I've also been away from knives as far as any purchases go. Now that I'm off for a f ew days I decided to make up for lost time. I had planned on getting a tan Tyrade and a blue Tyrade, but since the blue is not going to be produced I just got the tan one. I am still amazed at how much knife and quality the G-10 Tyrades bring to the table, and I think it is one of the very best buy's on a heavier duty folder on the market today! It came in today, along with a Fenix P1D flashlight. The only negative comment I have, and it is not a deal breaker at all, and that is the lightness of the tan handles as I would have liked a little darker color, but again it is not a big enough issue to worry about. Everything about the knife; fit/finish, action, lockup, and sharpness is spot on. The blade came out of the box hair popping sharp, which I consider a high degree of sharp. Lockup on the blade was just to the left of center, and I did take it apart to give the lock more bend thus creating a stiffer lock. No blade movement, either horizontal or vertical is detectable. I also tightened the blade to where I like it, and blade is perfectly centered when closed. Of course I am not telling anything new if you already have one of the G-10 Tyrades, as I have found all of mine (6 counting the tan) to be very consistent in construction. Anyway the tan Tyrade is set for tip up carry, with the clip covered in black 3M Stair Step, a tan paracord laynard, and in my right front pocket as I type this. Kershaw certaintly has a winner on their hands with the G-10 Tyrades!:thumbup::D
