Kershaw Tanto Groove

Hi guys,

This knife caught my attention, it got almost all of what I'm looking for in a folding knife... framelock, tanto blade, G10 ovelays. I'm planning to add it to my collection just got a couple of questions in my mind, I hope you guys could help... does anyone knows how thick the blade is and does it also have a detent? Thanks in advance.

I don't remeber how thick it is, but it is a bit over 3mm I think
Used to have it for quite a long time - it's a very nice knife with GREAT mechanics, smooth action and strong tip.

I'd say it is worth every cent

Ok ryomaru,

It's a hair over 1/8th of an inch thick from the base of the blade all the way to where the secondary grind meets. Then, it tapers down into a point starting where the secondary edge starts. Eyeballing it with a ruler reveals similar results.

In other words, it's a strong blade (in my opinion it's strong) and then the point is sharp enough to remove, say, a sliver/splinter in one's hand. Hope this helps. :thumbup:
