new to this forum, just recieved a Cyro 2. Is the General Knife Discussion the place to talk about cyro 2s? My issue is the spring is really stiff so I have to squeeze the knife body to hard to deploy the thumb studs thereby squeezing the lock against the blade and not getting a full deployement. I don't think I can change my grip to solve the problem. The only thing I can see is bending the spring maybe, hoping the spring loosens up some day, give up using the studs, or return it and eat the shipping both ways (I think). Any Cryo 2 owners around? thanks

Thread title and your post have nothing to do with one another.

Try using the flipper. Try resting your finger on the lock bar stabilizer instead of the lock bar itself.

yes it was a kind of 2 for 1 post, wanted to also know if this is now the spot to find other cryo owners. And yes the flipper works fine, I'll look into the stabilizer suggestion thanks

The Kershaw Forum has been closed for a while now and is a bit of a sore subject around here so you would probably get more responses if you start a new thread with a title that has something to do with the issue your having. Something like "Cryo 2 opening issue" or something along those lines. Have you tried loosening the pivot a bit? If you can't get it to work correctly contact Kershaw they have excellent customer service.

Just edit your original post to change the title, "edit post" > "go advanced" the option to change the title will be just above where you type your message. :)

I think it's a technique issue more than a cryo issue.

^ agreed, I am though going to relieve the edges adjacent to the studs. and if that doesnt satisfy Ill look into a different stud. thanks

So... being new here, this might be a good place to ask this without creating too much fluster (though I don't want to hijack this thread...)... I wondered about the lack of a Kershaw forum here, found the Archived forum, read the whole "Kershaw has requested closure of this forum." thread. I have no opinion on KAI not wanting to have an official presence here. However, as a huge fan of Kersaw knives, I would love to see an unofficial Kershaw forum here, rather than having to sift through the general forum. In the thread about the close, it seemed to be stated that it was against BladeForum policy to have a non-manufacturer supported forum, but I see there are three non-manufacturer supported "Collector's forums" and don't really see why Kershaw/ZT couldn't be in there? PM me if that's better, ignore me if that's better. I don't want to start anything here, just wondering... :)

(and I apologize for resurrecting a dead thread here, but I found this thread while trying to search for an answer to this and honestly didn't notice the last post date, for which I apologize... :foot:)
