Kershaw traditional folders, China vs Japan?

I have recently started to get more interested in traditional/gentlemans folders and Im thinking of picking up a Kershaw Indian Ford or Squaw Creek. I've noticed the new ones are made in China while the older ones were Japanese made. Is it worth seeking out the Japanese made versions? Is the quality better? Has anyone compared the two?

Not much that I could tell. Unless the stamp on the blade bugs you, they seem to be up to par in my opinion. And for the price you can't beat them really.

Well, BladeHQ has the Double Cross and Wild Turkey in stock, both Japanese made

Both seem fine to me, both do the job well, I would only be able to tell the difference if I set up an intricate and equal test

Thanks for everyone's help. The Squaw Creek is cheap enough that I think I may just pick up one each of the Japanese and Chinese versions to see how they compare.
