does kershaw do testing to see how many lbs it takes to defeat there locks? if so how does the tremor hold up? tried posting on general but i think its the wrong place for this sort of question. thanks

"There are a lot of factors in a lock failing. If a mfg posts a certain failure in pounds of force, and yours fails with much less, and you are injured, a law suit might follow. However, the knife as it left the mfg is quite different from one that has been used/abused or whatever circumstances might alter the original specifications resulting in premature failure. Quick, call in the lawyers! Makes sense to me why they don't or wont publish that information."

This is the answer I posted on your other post in the General section. I have a Tremor and use it to cut a lot of brush and limbs on my back property. It is a great knife and has not failed me or disappointed me in any way. For a more or less $30 knife it is a great bargain. I do not baton any of my knives, as I have a hatchet for that purpose. I try to use my knives for their designed uses and do not abuse them.

If using a knife correctly (to cut) there shouldn't really be a need to test how many pounds it would take to make a lock fail. Advertisers (Mainly Cold Steel) use this as a factor to sell their knives and show off how strong their lock is. Yes it is nice to know but like I said before, using it correctly shouldn't make a lock fail.

I wouldn't worry about it. The lock will handle anything the tremor SHOULD be used for. If you make it fail, that's your own fault. (not saying YOU, just in general)
