Okay I'm looking for a mid price EDC knife / tactical. I know everybody recommends the tenacious but I was looking through the kershaw catalog and I saw the tremor. There isn't much info online but it looks like an awesome alternative. So for people who have the tremor what are your opinions on it and which is better.

I don't know about the Tremor but for knives in that price range that I do own are the Kershaw skyline awesome knife. The tenacious is amazing. So is the ontario rat 1 is a great knife better than a griptillian IMO.

yea I know about all those. Il be getting the tenacious but the tremor looks awesome yet there's almost no info on it. Is their anyone here who has one?

basically pros and cons and which is better, tenacious or tremor. Their both around the same pricepoint and same POU.

Just my assessment from looking at them....

The Kershaw will ride better in the pocket and will be quicker to deploy due to the Speedsafe and the flipper. They both will be comfortable in hand, but I'd give a slight the edge to Kershaw. They'll both be good cutters, but I think the Spyderco will be a better one due to it's FFG. I don't know that one would be "better" then the other.

I have both. The Tremor is considerably larger than the Tenacious. If I could only have one it would be the Tremor but I like large knives.

Tremor looks cool, I'll consider getting it. Thanks for the heads up on that one.

I like the tremor better..in fact it is a perfect example of a knife I would be all over if it just had a longer blade.

Thanks guys, has hoping some people here would have the tremor. I guess I'm gonna have to get it, I just hope I can find it.

You cant go wrong with either of them! I have both. I just picked up the Tremor for $18 bucks! For that money, you could use it for edc/beater duties. I like it because of the larger blade and handle,Im a big guy with big hands. The knife seems to be very well made, and is very beefy feeling in the hand. It also is a flipper design and it works well. The only complaint I have is there is no jimping on the thumb ramp. For under $20, you cant beat it!

Id still go with the tenacious, for me the feel of the tremor in had was a little wonky and uncomfortable, if you want the length maybe go resilience???

Tremor = best $20 I ever spent.
Tenacious is a great knife, but I think the Tremor is better.
Bigger, heavier, and more comfortable. I have big hands and like when the handle extends past.

Edit: is this thread really 2 years old?????

I have a Tremor and it is my sharpest knife. It was very easy to sharpen, and after cutting some brush in my back yard and other bush trimming, I re-sharpened it with only a re - stropping. The large blade is why I bought it in the first place. The shape of the blade would make it a great folding hunting/skinning knife. I bought it over the Rat 1 when I was researching for a large folder. It is too large for an EDC for my uses, but for a special purpose knife it is excellent. It came with perfect fit and finish and the blade was centered perfectly. If you can get one,

Blessings,

Omar

go up too the spyderco resilence it gives you the tremor sizw with the sliceness of the tenacious!

I purchased a Tremor about 7 months ago. It really is a fun knife and the price is amazing. The flipper is nice and large which makes it very easy to use with gloves on. has no jimping on the spine but the pistol grip-like handle you really do not need it. For 18 dollars I think its worth it.
