Kershaw Turbulence or Kershaw Emerson CQC 6K?

I'm having an awfully hard time deciding between these two knives. The 6K seems slightly more ergonomic, but the Turbulence seems like the overall better deal...

Is the 6K's frame lock substantially stronger than the Turbulence's liner lock? I'd just be using the knife for light EDC work, but I like the peace of mind that comes with knowing a folding knife has a good lock.

Hi got my cqc 6k yesterday I was surprised out how thick the frame lock was. I never had a turbulence but I think the cqc 6k is well worth the $35 I paid, plus you get the wave feature which is my favorite way to deploy my knives

Go with the Thermite, right now a certain site has them for 23 bucks.

Nice to know the frame lock is thick, thank you! The wave feature isn't too important to me, the area I live at has a lot of people, so I don't want to be seen as a possible threat...

Also the Thermite looks good, too... this is becoming difficult.

I think I've settled on the Blackwashed Thermite. It looks amazing with that finish

Another thing to consider is do you want an assisted knife or manual or doesn't matter?

Having all three, I'd recommend the 6K. Very robust design in a compact package. I'm fond of the thermite as a second option, but I've grown to dislike AO's and that's the biggest downfall with the thermite. That, and the action isn't smooth enough to de-assist without some serious polishing.

Go with the 6k thats one of the ones i would reccomend highly for the price point, i got stuck with preordering the 1k on blade hq i really wanted the 4k & 5k (od scales and tan scales). U didnt want a recurve or tanto but like i said that 6k should do it for you, you can pick up the turbulance anytime but the emerson colabs are something i think you should get, either way you will get a new knife which is cool then a couple weeks later you can get the other :D

Also the Thermite does not have a detent so when deassisted the blade would not be held closed as the torsion bar is doing that. I wish KAI would put detents for closing on all their blades even if assisted.

I too really wish the Kershaw Thermite had a detent so that we could deassist it. This is what makes me think that the CQC-6K is better that the Thermite since it isn't assisted. I have played with both from friends of mine and would love to see the Thermite without the assist.
