Kershaw tyrade 1850 - help with carbon fibers

Hi All,

I read a lot of great reviews on this forum that convinced me to get the Kershaw 1850 Tyrade with the titanium handle and carbon fibers.

The blade arrived today and it is excellent ... solid and well built.

However, one problem. The carbon fiber inlay on the clip side is loose. As you all know, this is inset into the titanium handles. I assume it is usually glued, but in this case it seems the manufacturers forget to glue about 1/4 of it. It does't easily pop out yet, but you can tell it is lose and I'm afraid it might come out at some time in the future.

Anyone have any suggestions, noticed this themselves or fixed it? I suppose I can send it back to Kershaw, but thought I would check here first.

Thanks all.

The epoxy/glue used at the factory is Prism 380 (Loctite) if I remember correctly.

cutter 17 ... great post ... thanks. You really did a great job putting the finishing touches on that knife.

Thanks for the info on the epoxy ... looks like I have everything I need to do a repair.
