Kershaw uses 3cr13 bits...?

I know most of us would never consider 3cr13 in anything...

So I started this thread to see if anyone has actual experience using 3cr13 bits... how bad (or good) are they?

The Deschutes is the only one I can find on their website, and for $95 I'm laughing.
 
yeah, they normally provide excellent value in folding knives, (I even use a leek with 14c28n as my edc)...
but these axe offerings strike me as pure nonsense - I can't see why they'd use 3cr13

I expect plain old 1055 would hold a much better edge, but they placed corrosion resistance above performance?
It's a sad commentary on the 'average handaxe buyer' if you think about it
