Also got in recently Oldfogey's Vapor for a general clean up and sharpening.

Stay tuned my friend. We'll get her done in time here.

Will do. Depending on how things go I hope to get to it in the next few days.

Check in here every now and then and if I have any questions once I start on it I'll post em. Thanks

Today I got your Vapor cleaned up. Bead blasted the whole thing and the blade several passes. Even after all that I don' think I ever got all the scratches off the blade but its certainly much better looking than it was.

It looks better, but the lock was overtraveling so I gave that a fresh up and fixed it up to be closer to like it was when new there.

Just have to sharpen it up and its ready to go home.

Thanks Oldfogey.

Thanks, I look forward to having "my old buddy" home again. Sounds like you went "above & beyond". I appreciate it.

You be careful opening this baby up. She took a super edge and bites.

I straightend the bevel back out, repointed it some and gave it a nice working edge light years ahead of where it was from the factory I'm sure.

Not bragging, just the facts. Its gonna slice easy for a bit until you've used it a while. Not sure the steel in that one. Probably one of the AUS steels would be my guess but being China made who knows?

Whatever it is its sharp!

It is packed up and will go out in the morning mail to you.

Glad you like it and that it arrived safely.

Enjoy and don't let it bite you.
