Like alot of us, I am primarily focused on higher end knives, but every once in a while, I look at knives that are good deals on the low end of the spectrum. To me, there are two especially outstanding knives that can be had for $19.95: the small Kershaw Vapor and the Ka-Bar Dozier Folding Hunter. My question is which one is the best deal?
The Vapor has a recurved, flat grind, AUS 6 blade; while the Dozier Folding Hunter has a high and deep hollow grind on an AUS 8, spearpoint blade. The Dozier has a very sturdy Zytel frame and lockback while the Voyager is all steel with a framelock. I own both knives but I don't do much with them. Who has extensive experience with either or both of these knives? Let hear your results.
