I just bought a new Kershaw Vapor from WallyWorld today and so far I like the knife pretty good. I was just wondering what you guys thought of this knife? Thanks.

Excellent knife. Good price. I used mine till it dulled, then thinned the edge down to about 15 degrees on each side. This allowed easy resharpening on the Spyderco Sharpmaker. I had to take the thumb stud off to avoid scratching it when thinning the edge after many Sharpmaker trips. I think the new ones have a different thumb stud that will be difficult to remove, so I'd advise against it.

Looses an edge quickly, but is the easiest blade steel to sharpen. Also keep some oil on it, My dad's, and a few others vapors I've seen rust real easily.

Love mine - but after a few years the lock is not coming loose so easily - so effectively worn out. I am not upset it has been my favourite for those years and provided good use

As others said an excellent daily use knife - but ultimately regard it as disposable. A good size, blade shape, flat for pocket carry, goo look, easy to sharpen etc.

It is not a benchmade griptillian but it is still a good knife.

I'd like to see a version with the next level up in materials to make it heirloom quality - but I think I have been on this forum too long and starting to become a bot of a knife snob

If it last a few years then Ive well got its moneys worth. Before I bought the Vapor I was carrying a Spyderco Native and I loved that knife but it chipped so easily so I have put it to rest with the other knives. Also the blade on the Native had alot of side to side wiggle. I only carried it for a year with no hard use. I was let down with that knife cause I have heard it is a great knife. I hope the Vapor does a little better for less money.

A second for Excellent Knife. I carried one as EDC, in my pocket with clip removed, for 5 years and it never once let me down. At the time I was a maintenance man in a poultry slaughterhouse, so it saw very harsh use. I stopped carrying it because the blade had been sharpened so many times; it doesn't hold an edge for a long time is the only drawback.

Great knife for the money. I have one.

It carries nice in the pocket. It sharpens up nice and cuts nice.

It is priced so that I am not worried about losing or breaking it.

What more could you want.

I keep mine in my desk drawer for everyday uses. I think it's a good value for the money.

That's the knife that sold me on the framelock.
I think a Monochrome might be a bit better, but they don't sell those at wallyworld.

I think it's a great, simple knife and a super value for its price. I keep mine in my car where it's handy. It's of good enough quality to be functional and reliable for ordinary tasks, but it's cheap enough that I wouldn't feel too bad about abusing it, breaking it, losing it, giving it away, or letting it languish in my glove compartment.
